Couple Tim Van Geloven and Ilse Cornelissens created Graanmarkt 13 with a one-stop approach, this Antwerp townhouse home to a gallery space, restaurant and concept homewares store. Originally the duo’s home, now a popular city landmark, the couple have opened up the top floors to create a rentable property available for both short and long stays, “a welcoming and warm home, where everyone should feel at ease.” Renovated by noted Belgian architect Vincent Van Duysen, “The Apartment” celebrates the beauty of raw materials, combining untreated and undecorated concrete and woods with a selection of carefully chosen furnishings. Restraint the order of the day, the uncluttered duplex reflects Van Duysen’s brutalist leanings, softened to offer a warm and homely take on minimalist living. With a vast rooftop terrace, panoramic city views and room for up to 6, Graanmarkt 13 is available to rent at the website.
